General Academic Advising

If you are majoring in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation, your advisor, Maureen Cox, is located in the Office of Student Services at 102 Newins-Ziegler Hall. This office is open every semester, including the summer, from Monday through Friday. Appointments for advising can be made by email to Maureen Cox (mjcox@ufl.edu) or calling (352) 846-0554. Students are also welcome on a drop-in basis during open advising hours on Tuesdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Faculty Advisors & Mentors

You have also been assigned to a wildlife faculty advisor and mentor. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with their faculty advisors during their first semester and at least annually after that. Faculty have posted office hours for students, and will also meet with you by appointment.

Your faculty advisor is assigned to you based on the first digit of your UF Identification Number if you are in the Wildlife Ecology & Conservation specialization.

All Wildlife students in the Pre-Professional specialization are assigned to Dr. Bridget Baker, regardless of their UFID Number.

Fall 2024 Faculty Advisor Office Hours

Your faculty advisor has established regular office hours for undergraduate consultation. If you are unable to meet during these posted times, you should contact your advisor to make an appointment.
