Academic Qualifications:
Before I attended law school I served as an officer in the US Army for about 14 years, serving in such capacities as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (military bomb squad) officer and as a commander of a military police and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) company. I’m a graduate of Marion Military Institute where I earned an Associates in military science, Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Tiffin University with a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in criminal behavior, University of Mississippi School of Law with a juris doctorate and a concentration in business law, and Utica College with a certificate in financial crime investigations.

I am also a graduate of the US Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School, and I have been trained in various other military schools, in order to be able to diffuse advanced improvised explosive devices and conduct post blast investigations. Since coming to the University of Florida, I have taught several courses in Criminal Procedure, Law and the Legal Process, Money Laundering, and Computer Crime and Forensics. I am a full-time member of faculty in the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Law, where I currently serve as a lecturer and undergraduate adviser.
