How to Apply for Non-Degree Courses from UF’s Online Wildlife Forensic Sciences and Conservation Program
Non-degree seeking students can apply to take graduate-level classes while choosing a program, or to build their knowledge to enhance their professional development. Please note that non-degree seeking students are required to submit an application for each semester they would like to take a course.

Review Admission Requirements
Prospective students must meet the following academic requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited institution. Prior coursework in biology, health and/or animal sciences is preferred.
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae (VMD) degree from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in a DVM or VMD degree program from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent.

Submit your application and materials via https://my.admissions.ufl.edu/apply/
Getting Started
- Create a username and password to log in and save it to edit your application before submission, if needed.
Non-Degree Application
- Select No for high school dual enrollment.
- Answer the next questions regarding previous enrollment at UF.
Personal Background
- Fill in Personal Background information.
International Information
- Fill in passport and other required information.
Conduct Disclosure
- Accurately answer and report all information in the Conduct Disclosure section.
Non-Degree Course Request
- Select Non-Degree Special Program.
- Choose College of Veterinary Medicine in the College dropdown box.
- Select the Term you would like to register for.
- In the long form answer box, share the reason you are requesting admission as a non-degree student (examples could include taking courses before being formally admitted, to expand your knowledge for work, interest in a specific course’s subject matter, etc.).
- Choose Wildlife Forensic Science nondegree from the Special Program dropdown.
- Select 1 under the option for how many courses you would like to register for.
- Course information: Please enter n/a in the first prefix and number fields. You will have the opportunity to select your course after submitting the non-degree application via a registration link that will be emailed to you.
Academic History
- Add all institutions you have attended along with requested information, including dates of study
Florida Residency Declaration
- Enter your residency information. The residency of our students does not determine tuition cost for our program, but this information is required by the University of Florida.
- If you are a non-Florida resident, select the appropriate box for your residency.
- If you are a Florida resident, fully complete the Residency Information section, including the numbers and original issue dates for two of the following three identifying documents:
- Driver’s License
- Vehicle Registration
- Voter Registration
- Documents may be directly uploaded to the application.
- If you are not located in the United States, please type in “Not Applicable” in the area asking for US VISA information.
Complete Your Application
- Sign your application, review the information, and submit it.
