Non-Degree Admissions Requirements
Students can take courses without being enrolled in a master’s degree or graduate certificate program. Non-degree courses are a great option for professional development or to explore a specific area of interest. Plus, students can transfer up to nine credit hours toward the program’s online master's program or graduate certificate in Wildlife Forensic Sciences and Conservation if they earn a B or better in the course.
Important Notes:
- There is no application fee for non-degree seeking students.
- Students must have a bachelor’s degree to take non-degree courses.
- Enrollment as a non-degree seeking student does not guarantee admission to a graduate master’s or certificate program.
- Non-degree seeking students can take a maximum of 6 credits each semester. Non-degree seeking students must apply for admission each semester they wish to take a course.
- A student already admitted to the University of Florida must email masters@dce.ufl.edu before submitting a non-degree application.
Non-Degree Academic Requirements
To apply for non-degree seeking courses, students must have one of the following:
- A baccalaureate degree in any subject from an accredited institution (prior coursework in biology, health and/or animal sciences is recommended)
- A DVM or VMD degree from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent
- Students currently enrolled in a DVM or VMD degree program from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent
