About UF’s Wildlife Forensic Sciences & Conservation Program  

The University of Florida is proud to offer an online graduate program in Wildlife Forensic Sciences and Conservation. Our program equips students with relevant skills in wildlife crime investigation, conservation science, and ecological management—supported by UF’s long-standing commitment to research excellence, global engagement, and innovative, accessible online education.  

Convenient and affordable, the courses are offered entirely online and can lead to a master’s degree, graduate certificate, or non-degree course earnings. Fish and wildlife officers, conservationists, and park rangers are just a few professionals who will benefit from the online wildlife forensic sciences and conservation graduate program. The program is also an excellent fit for recent graduates passionate about conservation or preparing for doctoral studies. Courses are taught by real-world experts with decades of experience in wildlife forensic investigations, conservation, and wildlife protection.  

About the UF Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation 

The University of Florida’s Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation (WEC) is a global leader in wildlife research, education, and conservation. WEC’s innovative faculty members bring expertise in wildlife management, conservation biology, landscape ecology, human dimensions, disease ecology, and global change. Through collaborations with state, federal, and international partners, they address major conservation challenges such as Everglades restoration, invasive species, and tropical ecosystem management. The department produces over 100 publications annually, secures about $4 million in grants, and trains approximately 65 Ph.D. and 30 M.S. students in on-campus research programs. 

Located in Florida’s uniquely diverse ecosystems, WEC offers unparalleled field opportunities and maintains more than 35 years of international engagement, training over 250 conservation professionals worldwide and supporting active programs across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
