Wildlife Extension Survey
To determine what types of wildlife-related materials, supporting documents, props, etc. are needed by Florida extension personnel and what are currently available and where and who has them in the state, we have developed the following surveys. Your participation is critical if we are to continue to improve our programs. Almost all topics and extension programs are in some way related directly or indirectly to wildlife issues (e.g., energy conservation and environmental friendly gardening techniques) so do not assume that your specialty, topic, or program is too obscure. If you have any comments or suggestions, please email Mark Hostetler, Extension Wildlife Specialist.
Description of Surveys:
- The purpose of the Needs Assessment survey is to determine what types of wildlife-related materials, supporting documents, props, etc. areneeded by extension personnel across the state to conduct wildlife educational programs. This will help guide us in our efforts to develop products that address wildlife-related issues and will be most useful in your programming efforts. Almost all topics and extension programs are in some way related directly or indirectly to wildlife issues (e.g., energy conservation and environmental friendly gardening techniques) so do not assume that your specialty, topic, or program of "need" is too obscure.

- The purpose of the Materials survey is to determine what types of wildlife-related materials, supporting documents, props, etc. are currently available and where and who has them in the state. The idea behind the survey is to gather these materials and make them available to all extension personnel in a centralized location. Almost all topics and extension programs are in some way related directly or indirectly to wildlife issues (e.g., energy conservation and environmental friendly gardening techniques) so do not assume that your specialty, topic, or program is too obscure. Master gardener, master wildlife conservation, Florida's yard & neighborhood, fishing for success, Florida's wildlife habitat, and forest stewardship programs probably all have materials and components related to wildlife issues either directly or indirectly. For example, a power point presentation about how to reduce use of fertilizers and pesticides has indirect and direct impacts on invertebrate and vertebrate distributions.
